Is it possible to convert the measured current into a bar graph on the display of a SIEMENS SIPROTEC 4 relay? Yes, and I achieved this during my time at CEMEX VENEZUELA! I designed a solution that represents current values as stepped blocks directly on the device's interface, using DIGSI 4 logic and CFC programming.
This implementation not only optimized operational ergonomics, but introduced new forms of technical visualization in the field—especially useful for technicians Electricians responsible for constantly monitoring operating conditions, such as in the case of a crude mill. A simple and powerful way to translate data into visual decisions.

🖥️ Technology used:
Hardware: Relay 7SJ63
Software: DIGSI 4.xx
CFC (Continuous Function Chart)
Blocks: UPPER_SETPOINT, BOOL_TO_DI
Output objects: Double Notice (AD)
🎯 Key design steps:
Definition of AD objects in the logical matrix for each stream section.
Implementation of stepped blocks in CFC logic.
Creating dynamic icons by current threshold.
Graphic assignment on the display with bar-type visual logic.
✅ Practical applications:
Engine protections
Transformers
Industrial feeders

🧠 Conclusion
This type of visualization transforms the way technicians interpret operating conditions in the field. A simple graphic display can be transformed into a dynamic and predictive tool with applied creativity.
