MULTI-BRAND COMPATIBILITY · RELAYS

One interface per protection relay, just like the real device

It's not a generic box where you type in numbers. Each relay replicates the manufacturer's real display, so you feel like you're in front of the physical device. You enter settings exactly as they appear on the relay's panel

And with each brand's native terminology: the overcurrent pickup isn't called the same in a SIPROTEC as in a SEL. You become familiar with each device's real terms — IEC is practically the only standard common to all of them.

A tool that feels alive and interactive, not just another form.

MULTI-BRAND COMPATIBILITY · CIRCUIT BREAKERS

Low-voltage trip units, with their L-S-I-G zones

RTC2 includes the electronic trip units from leading manufacturers — Siemens ETU, Schneider Micrologic, Eaton Digitrip, and ABB Emax2 — with their Long, Short, Instantaneous, and Ground protection zones.

Plot the breaker's complete curve and coordinate it on the same log-log plot alongside your relays — something that would normally require a full study

POWER TRANSFORMER MODULE

The transformer's damage curve and Inrush, on the same plot

RTC2 brings the power transformer references for the branch under study directly onto the log-log plot: its damage curve per ANSI/IEEE C57.109-2018, and the inrush point. At a glance, you confirm your protections let inrush through without nuisance tripping — and that they act before the transformer enters its damage zone.

A protection coordination without the transformer's damage curve is technically incomplete.

SELECTIVITY ANALYSIS

The ΔT margin, calculated and evaluated for you

The heart of RTC2. Verify that two cascaded devices — upstream and downstream — trip in the correct order for a common fault. RTC2 calculates that time margin, the ΔT, and automatically evaluates it against the industry-recommended range

Sweep cursor for ΔT selectivity calculation in RTC2

Explore coordination across the entire plot

ΔT isn't a single number — it varies across the whole current range. Standard analysis evaluates it only at ImaxF, but with the sweep cursor you scan the ΔT at any point on the plot, in real time, without touching a setting or re-plotting anything.

< 0.2 s       Risk

upstream could trip at the same time or before: selectivity is lost

0.2–0.4 s   Recommended ✓

safe margin for tolerances and breaker opening times

> 0.4 s          Loose

the backup takes too long, exposing the system to more damage

TECHNICAL REPORTS

Two reports, one click, ready to deliver

RTC2 generates PDF reports with deliverable-document quality — ready for calculation memos, project files, commissioning certifications, or direct delivery to the client. Two formats, depending on what you need to document.

Not a descriptive report: it's a technical evaluation with a verdict.

Test Report

Field engineer

Documents trip verification using secondary injection. Includes installation data, relay and test-equipment identification, settings in secondary and primary values, log-log plot with the test points overlaid, photographic evidence, and signatures from the three responsible parties

Selectivity Report

Coordination

Documents coordination between two cascaded devices — relay-relay, CB-relay, or CB-CB. Includes the single-line diagram, both devices' curves on the plot, complete settings for each, and the calculated ΔT margin.

WHY CHOOSE RTC2

Not just another curve plotter

Three reasons a protection engineer chooses it

PILAR 01

Built by and for the protection engineer

IInterface that replicates the real device

Native nomenclature of each manufacturer, not a generic spreadsheet.

Educational by design

Labeled curves and visible equations. You learn by using it, no course required.

Primary and secondary values

The same software on the test bench and in the coordination study.

7 relay brands · 10 trip units

ABB · Siemens · Schneider · SEL · GE · Micom · DEIF

PILAR 02

From setting to deliverable, without leaving the program

Everything on a single log-log plot

Relays, Circuit Breakers, and transformers coexisting.

ΔT selectivity with sweep

Verify coordination across the whole range, not just one point.

The test set measures. RTC2 documents.

CT ratio with primary equivalent, the curve's equation, the log-log plot, evidence, and signatures. Ready for the file.

PILAR 03

Without the friction of a full study

Coordinate a branch circuit in minutes

Without modeling the entire network like a full study platform would require.

Bilingual Spanish / English

Interface and reports

Direct support from the developer

Guides, tips, and fast answers. No call center.

Accessible price

Plus a free demo to try before deciding.

A test set delivers a table. RTC2 delivers an engineering document.

Settings in the manufacturer's own nomenclature, CT with its primary equivalent, the curve's equation, and the log-log plot — in a single file, ready for the calculation memo.

WHO IS IT FOR?

If you work with protection curves, RTC2 is for you

Test Engineer

Commissioning · Field

You inject secondary current, verify trips, and have to deliver a report. RTC2 turns your measurements into a formal document: settings, CT ratio, primary equivalent, and signatures.

"I already measured. Now I have to document it."

Project or Plant Engineer

Coordination · Design

You need to verify a branch circuit's coordination without setting up a full network study. Load the settings, plot, and in minutes you know if the ΔT is healthy.

"I just want to know if this branch coordinates."

Maintenance Technician

Relays · Trip units

You work with relays and trip units in the field. The interface replicates the real device, so you're not translating anything: you enter settings exactly as you see them on the panel.

"It looks just like the relay I have in front of me."

Instructor and Student

Training · Protection

Curves are labeled and equations are in view. You understand why the curve has that shape, not just that it does.

"This shows where the trip time comes from."
